August 2013 sees the first ever Romsey Art Festival happen in Cambridge, celebrating Romsey and the surrounding areas as a hotspot of creativity in the city. Home to many artists and unique, independent businesses, the area, located around Mill Road,
is known for its strong sense of community which is reflected in the theme of this year’s first ever festival.

Looking at ways that the community relate, live and engage with each other – what does community mean to people today? What is it like to live and engage with Romsey and the surrounding areas – Coleridge, Abbey and Mill Rd?

From a Pop Up ‘Romsey Art Cinema’, to art inspired by ideas of a Romsey Beach, to performance and poetry – there is already lots planned for the festival.

The idea for 2013 is to start small with a handful of exciting, community-spirited ideas and aim to grow it in future years - so this first ever festival is very much just the start!
